From its fully-staffed pricing and administration office on Industrial Place in central Queenstown, ABL sends out its specialized teams of fully qualified carpenters and construction workers capable of taking on the highest-profile jobs going – notably the multi-award-winning landmark Sofitel Hotel complex, the Queenstown Events Centre, and Millenium Hotel.

Back in 1985 when ABL first opened its doors in the resort capital, times were tough in the nation’s construction industry. But that didn’t stop ABL from winning one of the most significant contracts at the time, the Base Amenities Building at the Remarkables Ski Field for the Mount Cook Group.

Throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, the company’s business continued to expand slowly and steadily, and with each new project, so too did ABL’s reputation for quality workmanship, until today it stands amongst the leading contractors in the Southern Lakes-Central Otago region.
