Dunedin Casino

This project involved an effective “gut” of Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Old Grand Hotel portion of the Southern Cross premises along with strengthening of existing floors and walls to open up the building for the gaming floor on Level 1.
Due to the need to get the Casino open as early as physically possible the project was tendered with only the structural elements designed. The balance of the design along with letting of subtrades continued once the project was started. Amalgamated Builders Limited was responsible for negotiating and administering subtrade packages.
This project was delivered on time and within budget.
