Regent Theatre Redevelopment

This negotiated project included work to all areas of the 100 year old building excluding the theatre and stage area. Toilets were added into the basement area along with a lift servicing all levels, new service areas provided, the foyer upgraded and the existing offices were gutted and re-built including new floors to large areas. Structural strengthening throughout was also required.
Access and staging of work were two main issues with regard to construction but age of the existing structure, intricate detailing, limited space to hide services, public safety and having a number of stakeholders involved in the process added to the complexity of the project.
