ABL Head Office

Our Head Office team is led by our Financial Controller Michael Manson.

The team are responsible for the smooth running of the Company Accounts and Project Financial Controls, and consist of a very dedicated group of Southland staff, some of whom have been with the company for well over 30 years.

Richard Johnston

Managing Director

Richard Johnston brings to ABL over 30 years of experience in leadership roles in the construction industry.  Richard is a qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor, and has been directly involved with the building of numerous large projects throughout the South Island.  

Richard started with ABL in 1990 as a Senior Quantity Surveyor after coming back from seven years in Australia and the UK, four of which were spent managing consultant Quantity Surveying practices.

Michael Manson

Financial Controller

Michael joined ABL in 2014.  He is responsible for the overall financial administration of all operating locations and is based in the Invercargill head office.

Michael is a qualified Chartered Accountant and leads the administration team providing ABL with its accounting and financial transactional processing, and supports the management team in business financial planning.
